description abstract This study aims to identify superior agricultural commodities in Sleman Regency and their development strategies. The basic method used is descriptive analytical. Secondary data is obtained from reports of related agencies such as the Central Statistics Agency. The data analysis method used is the analysis of Location Quotient and Dynamic Location Quotient. The results of the LQ analysis of the agricultural sector in each sub-district in Sleman Regency showed that food crop commodities consisting of wetland rice, field rice, corn, sweet potatoes, cassava, peanuts, green beans, and soybeans were basic commodities, this was known from the value LQ bigger one. With the production value, the food crop sector has the potential to develop not only to meet the needs of its own region but also to be exported outside the region. The results of DLQ's analysis of the agricultural sector of food crops indicate that food crop commodities can be expected to be the basis for the future.
