This research aims to determine the influence of renewable energy consumption on gross domestic product (GDP), especially in the Indonesia during the period 1990-2015. The International Energy Agency (IEA) defines renewable energy as energy derived from natural processes that is replenished continuously and can be continuously produced without having to wait millions of years like fossil-based energy. The data in this study was obtained from the World Bank. The data analysis in this study uses simple linear regression. The results showed that there was no significant influence on renewable energy consumption on gross domestic product in Indonesia in the period 1990-2015.
