    Pemetaan spasial cluster karakteristik UMKM Kabupaten Bantul

    MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) is a business entity that has a very important role in the Indonesian economy. This role starts with employment, contribution to GDP, and investment. Even though they have a large contribution to the economy, MSMEs also have several obstacles in developing, especially the marketing factor. The most important marketing obstacle is how to provide detailed information (characteristics of MSMEs) to the market and this information can be obtained easily by the market. This is of course a big gap between MSME players and the market because the product marketing process is not going well. The cause of the emergence of this gap needs serious attention, especially for information providers. One of the causes is the absence of information on the distribution of characteristics in the form of spatial distribution (maps). The information gap between MSMEs and the market must be resolved so that MSMEs can develop properly. Solving the information gap problem that has been described previously will be done by building a spatial database / MSME spatial mapping. This process will begin with MSME clustering based on their characteristics, validation of MSME data by direct tracing with sampling methods, and finally building a spatial database (based on Geographical Information Systems) to make thematic maps of MSMEs. So that the result will be maps of the characteristics of MSMEs. The research location was conducted in Bantul Regency. The research results in the form of a thematic map of MSMEs are expected to help provide information to the market and stakeholders in making policies related to the development of MSMEs in Bantul Regency.
