This study aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of good public governance on the quality of life of the com-munity at the provincial government in Indonesia. Multiple linear regression was used in this study to prove hypotheses. Public governance is proxyed with a Governance Index created by the Partnership, as an independent variable. The dependent variable is the quality of community life proxyed by Human Development Index (IPM) made by the Central Bureau of Statis-tics. The results of multiple linear regression show that Public Governance has a positive significant on the quality of life of the community. Based on this, the Provin-cial Government must be serious in implementing Good Public Governance because it is statistically proven to affect the quality of life of the people, let alone the aver-age governance index is still not good. Accountable, transparent, efficient and effec-tive government management is the key to success in improving the quality of life of people in Indonesia.
